"A Journey is best measured in friends rather than miles" Tim Cahill

A big hello everyone who has been checking our web site. We hoped to update and revamp the site but we have been too busy sorting out our lives and taking short trips!!
This year we have travelled through the extaordinary landscapes of Central America Feb to May. Then a quick 14 days in the Arctic. We have now set out for  the Himalaya , Northern India, Bhutan and Nepal, we hope but  a lot depends on the weather.
We will try and keep in touch as we go and in the mean time Happy travels where ever you are. Sep10th 09

South America 27th  December 05 to 24th November 06
We began our journey on the on the 27th of December flying down to Ushuaia at the tip of Argentina for a trip to South Georgia and the Antarctic which was a magnificent experience. We moved on into Patagonia in Chile and Argentina and then North to Santiago and Easter Island . After a month in Boliva  we moved into Peru for seven weeks. We have spent 6 weeks in Ecuador and the Galapagos and 4 weeks in Colombia and managed to go by bus all the way to the end of the Andes.
We completed an Amazon trip from Letica in Columbia to Belem in Brazil with a detour up into Venezuela and the magnificent Angel falls. We travelled down the north coast of Brazil to Rio then to the Pantanal and Boneto before reaching the amazing Iguasu Falls. Later we flew down to Buenos Aries and on by bus to the wonderful Valdes Peninsular with Southern Right Whales, Orca and Armadillos before returning to Buenos Aries and then back to UK in November.

A bit about us....
We dreamed of retiring early and spent 20 years travelling together on short holidays. We were fortunate enough to be able to leave work early 6 years ago so we now have the time to travel.

We have spent 3 months in the Pyrenees and 13 months in Australia driving a converted Land Rover through remote places. On our way back to Britain we backpacked for 4months in South East Asia (Sabah Cambodia Vietnam and Laos). In 2004  we backpacked for 5 months in Nepal Tibet Burma and Sarawak. In 2005 we spent over 5 months in India.

We are now travelling in  the Himalaya for until December we will try and keep in touch.
